Trevor Anthony Ariza was born in Miami, Florida, on 30th of June 1985. Ariza went to Los Angeles’ Westchester High School. Along with Hassan Adams, Brandon Heath, and Bobby Brown, he helped the Comets win the California State Championship and was drafted as the team’s number 5, power forward.
He got the honor of playing 25 games as a freshman at UCLA in year 2003 and year 2004. Furthermore, Trevor was named to the All Pac Ten Freshman Team, for his hard work. Following his rookie season at UCLA, he declared for the NBA Draft. Ariza was drafted in the second round by the New York Knicks in 2004 and appeared in 80 games with the Knicks in his rookie season.
In 2006, Ariza was dealt to the Orlando Magic along with Penny Hardaway as he was the one who appeared in 21 games after the deal, averaging 4.7 points per game. He appeared in a total of 57 games and started seven during the 2006-07 season, averaging his career-high points.
In January 2008, he broke a bone in his right foot and was off from the game for some time. Ariza set a postseason career best with 21 points in Game 1 of the first round against the Utah Jazz in the playoffs. Ariza swiped an inbound pass from Chauncey Billups in Game 1 of the Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets.
Ariza set a career best with 33 points in a 111-107 Rockets victory over the Portland Trail Blazers the same year. Ariza was disqualified on 13th of December 2009, for attempting to strike and hit Demar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors after the ball was taken from him.
