Pat Sajak is as a former American weatherman and talk show presenter. He is best known for hosting Wheel of Fortune, a famous American reality television show.

Patrick Leonard Sajdak was born in Chicago on October 26, 1946. Joyce Helen and Leonard Anthony Sajdak are his parents. He attended Farragut High School before enrolling at Columbia College Chicago. During the Vietnam War, he worked as a DJ for the Armed Forces Vietnam Network.
He won Dick Biondi of WLS radio to appear as a guest adolescent DJ when he was younger. He then applied for and was hired for a position at a local radio station. He worked as a radio DJ for the US Army during the Vietnam War in 1968. Sajak worked as a DJ for the Murray, Kentucky, radio station for a year in the 1970s.
He began deejaying for the 50,000 watt WSM in Nashville at the same time. WSM-TV was the station that first introduced Sajak to the public, first as a voiceover artist and subsequently as a five-minute anchor for NBC’s Today Show.
Sajak was approached by KNBC TV in Los Angeles, who offered him a job as a full-time weatherman. Merv Griffin offered him the job of presenting Wheel of Fortune in 1981. However, an impediment in the shape of Fred Silverman, who refused to hire him, stood in the way.
Silverman was later fired from his position as a network executive, and Sajak took over as host. He hosted both the daytime and syndicated versions of the show.
Sajak also appeared as a newscaster in the film Airplane H. He also hosted a late-night discussion programme on CBS, which aired for the first time in 1989. Sajak appeared in both Super Password and Password Plus on several occasions. When Larry King was unavailable to host, he took over as host of CNN’s Larry King Live.
He also appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly as a stand in for Regis. Pat Sajak Weekend was a show he presented in 2003. He’s also started hosting The Pat Sajak Baseball Hour, a nationally syndicated sports discussion show. Sajak has been on Rugrats and Days of Our Lives, among other series.

Sajak and his first wife, Sherrill, split, and he married Lesly Brown Sajak, his second wife. Patrick Michael James Sajak and Maggie Marie Sajak are the couple’s two children. Severna Park, Maryland is where the family calls home. Sajak also owns a residence in Los Angeles, which he calls J California.
