Monica was born in Corsicana, Texas, on February 9, 1972. She attended Corsicana High School and Tyler Junior College, where she was a cheerleader. Monica began her coaching career at Navarro College in January 1995, where she guided the squad to over a dozen National Cheerleaders Association championships in the Junior College COED Division.
