Mike Rozier is a well known footballer. He was born in the state of New Jersey on March 1, 1961. Mike is well noted for being a Heisman Trophy-winning college football player in 1983. He was also inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and received the Maxwell Award.

Rozier, who was born in Camden, New Jersey, began playing American Football in high school. He was already known as one of the team’s outstanding players while attending Woodrow Wilson High School. Unfortunately, despite his outstanding success on the field, his poor academic record did not qualify him for any institutions, making it difficult for him to be recruited.
Rozier went to Coffeyville Junior College in Kansas to improve his grades. He also played American Football while studying, helping his team to a 9-0 record and scoring 10 touchdowns himself.
Rozier was recruited by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in his second year after improving his grades. He joined the American Football squad at the institution and helped them set records in college football history. In his last year, he earned the coveted Heisman Trophy, as well as the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp’s Player of the Year award.
After a great career as a football player throughout his collegiate years, Rozier readily transitioned to the professional ranks after graduation. In 1984, he was chosen by the Pittsburgh Maulers and began his career in the United States Football League.
In 1985, he transferred to the Jacksonville Bulls after one season with the organization. He also transferred to the Houston Oilers in the same year. His early years in the USFL helped launch his professional football career as well as his personal worth.
Rozier was picked by the Houston Oilers in the 1984 National Football League Supplemental Draft of USFL and CFL Players, and he stayed with the franchise for seven years.

Mike and his attorney wife Rochelle have been together for about 20 years and have been married for more than ten years. They have one son, Michael Guy Pacheco Rozier, and they live in South Jersey. Amber and JaMichael Rozier, his other two children, live in Houston, Texas.
He was shot in his house in Camden in 1996. On the 22 October 2018 edition of Family Feud, Rozier appeared alongside his wife and three additional family members.
