Michael Constantine was born in Pennsylvania, on 22 May 1927. He is the gifted son of steelworker Theocharis Loannides Efstratiou and homemaker Andromache Fotiadou. They were both immigrants from Greece. He was reared in a poor home, and his parents couldn’t afford to pay for his acting training, so he worked odd jobs to supplement his income.
Michael studied acting with well-known masters like Howard Da Silva. In his mid-twenties, he had a lot of opportunities to portray character roles on and off Broadway. He was interested in the career of acting from the early days of his youth.
Michael began his acting career in the mid-1950s as Paul Muni’s understudy in Inherit the Wind. Michael portrayed his extra ordinary skills and his performance was praised. He performed the character assigned to him so passionately that everyone was stunned with his performance.
In year 1959, he starred in his debut film, The Last Mile. This was a first performance of Michael and he was under the mission to win the hearts of everyone by his performance and skills.
