Kenneth H. Rosenthal is a United States-based sportswriter and reporter. He is a field reporter for Fox Major League Baseball, and from 2009 until 2022, he was an in-studio reporter for MLB Network. He has been a senior baseball writer at The Athletic since August 2017.

Ken Rosenthal was born in the town of Oyster Bay, New York, on 19th of September 1962. Oyster Bay High School was where he received his early education. This school is located in the New York suburb of Oyster Bay. Ken earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He began his career in year 1984 at the York Daily Record after working as an intern covering sports for Newsday on Long Island. He then spent 2 years at the Cherry Hill Courier-Post before finding a full-time job at The Baltimore Sun, where he was voted Sportswriter of the Year 5 times.
From the year 1990 through 2000, Rosenthal also wrote to Sports Illustrated, delivering weekly remarks during baseball season. He subsequently worked for The Sporting News for 5 years until joining Fox Sports in 2005. Ken was very active throughout his career and was praised for his work.
When he appeared on Fox Sports telecasts in favor of various philanthropic causes, he always wore a bow tie. Rosenthal received the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Reporter in year 2015 and again in year 2016 for his work with Fox Sports and MLB Network.
Rosenthal was left without an editorial home when Fox Sports cut its writing team in June of 2017 to focus only on video. He then began writing tales for his Facebook platform page before joining The Athletic as a senior baseball writer in August of 2017.
