Cassper Nyovest was born in Mahikeng, South Africa on 16th of December 1990. Cassper was born to Letsebela Phoolo, his father, and Muzuki Phoolo, his mother. Cassper has two siblings: his late brother, Khotso Phoolo, and his sister, Tsholofelo Phoolo.
Cassper was rasied and brought up with his siblings at Montshioa during his early years. Nyovest began his secondary education at Sol Plaatjie Secondary School. While at school, he participated in a variety of sports activities as an athlete. Cassper, on the other hand, began rapping at the age of 12.
Cassper Nyovest acquired a record deal with the Impact Sounds label in 2008, when he was 17 years old. Impact Sounds was regarded to be the strongest Motswako label at the time. He stayed with this label for two years before leaving to form his own label, which did not prosper.
Following that, Cassper Nyovest published the song Holla at a Pantsula, which became an instant smash in his area. The song was a huge success, propelling him to stardom. Cassper Nyovest released his 5th album Any Minute Now in September 2020. The album includes collaborations with Langa Mavuso, Samthing Soweto, DJ Lemonka, and Towdee Mac. In July 2021, he released Sweet and Short, his debut Amapiano studio album.
